SIKON is a contest of ideas among students of architecture, which has been taking place in Lithuania since 1983. The purpose of the contest is to encourage a creative relationship between the students while expressing their ideas and individuality.
Commemorating Lithuania's return to the integrated space of Europe (2004 May 1 Lithuania become a full member of the European Union.), the Club of Students of Architecture in Lithuania and the journal STATYBU PILOTAS are organizing a contest with theme LITHUANIAN EMBASSY IN EUROPE. The aim of SIKON this year is to display the national identity of Lithuania in the European context, to awoke the multicultural coexistence, and to demonstrate it by all architectural means.
