Concurso: 4x8 Design Competition - Até Agosto
The Challenge:
Build something using one 4 ft by 8 ft sheet of plywood.
Eligibility:
Open to all. Enter as an individual or team.
Prizes:
To be announced.
Other rules:
You may choose any thickness and type of plywood.
Embellishments and finishing treatments are allowed.
No limit to the number of entries.
You may not use more than one sheet of plywood.
You do not need to use the entire sheet of plywood.
PLYWOOD:
The one and only restriction in this competition is that you use ONE 4x8 SHEET OF PLYWOOD. You may use any thickness of plywood. You can use any type of wood. You may work the sheet in any way -- by hand, with power tools, with NC tools, without tools... You do not have to utilize the entire sheet (ie, there can be cut-off scrap), but you cannot use more than one sheet.

Schindler Award for Architecture "Access for All" 2007/2008
There are still too many barriers for people with disabilities. To eliminate these barriers requires a change of thinking. The Schindler Award is a small step towards what we hope will become a significant change. >>
The “Access for All” principle is based on finding solutions for everyone rather than concentrating only on measures for specific forms of disability. For Schindler, this means planning and construction according to the “Design for All” philosophy.>>
The Austrian capital, Vienna, has been chosen as the competition site of the third Schindler Award for Architecture "Access for All" 2007/08. After reviewing several sites, the core jury under its president, Prof. Françoise-Hélène Jourda, assisted by the competition management team at Nuesch Development, selected a site which poses a challenging task.>>
