A Administração Regional de Saúde do Norte, I.P., leva a efeito concurso para apresentação de propostas de logótipo do projecto “Ambiente 100% Sem Fumo – Aproveite… Respire à vontade!”, cuja finalidade é incentivar a criação de espaços livres de tabaco (mais informações sobre este projecto poderão ser obtidas em www.semfumo.com).

O prazo de entrega dos trabalhos termina às 17 horas do dia 21 de Dezembro de 2007, sendo aceites as propostas entregues em mão até esta data ou enviadas por correio prioritário registado com aviso de recepção com data anterior ou igual a 21 de Dezembro de 2007

Se neste Natal estão a considerar pedir ao Pai Natal uma impressora nova, talvez queiram facilitar o trabalho ao velhote das Barbas Brancas, e fazerem vocês próprios a selecção. Quanto maior é a oferta disponível mais difícil é decidir, mais ainda decidir de uma forma fundamentada.

Às vezes, ler as (muitas) características de determinada impressora em nada nos elucida sobre as reais vantagens da mesma, porque ficamos divididos entre a importância relativa dos diversos factores. A opinião de um amigo que tem, ou já teve, determinado equipamento, muitas vezes é a forma mais expedita de auxílio na escolha. Todos nós já pedimos opinião a amigos sobre diversos equipamentos que um dia pretendemos adquirir, e certamente também fomos solicitados pelos amigos, para darmos a nossa própria opinião.

Este site congrega opiniões de utilizadores sobre diferentes produtos, de modo a conseguir expressá-la com uma pontuação única, de mais directa apreensão. Permite ainda ler as “reviews” feitas pelos diversos utilizadores sobre os equipamentos, ou comparar dois ou três equipamentos, neste caso, experimentei com impressoras,HP printers. Muito útil quando as características são muito próximas e uma leitura em paralelo das duas facilita.

THE ULI EUROPEAN STUDENT URBAN DESIGN COMPETITION

The second annual ULI European Student Urban Design Competition is a graduate-level competition that is intended to provide an interdisciplinary learning experience for real estate and design students in Europe. Self-formed student teams are asked to provide an urban design and a financial feasibility strategy for a large-scale real life site that ULI has identified somewhere in Europe. Through the formation of multidisciplinary teams, the program encourages cooperation and teamwork among future real estate professionals and the many allied professions, such as architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, historic preservation, engineering, real estate development, finance, psychology, law, and others.

Applications must be submitted by Monday, 17 December 2007. All teams will be notified by E-mail no later than the week of 14 January 2008, as to their eligibility to participate.

This year’s site, to be announced on Monday, 4 February 2008, will be a large-scale urban regeneration site, chosen because it presents complex challenges, needing practicable, innovative solutions that reflect responsible land use. The solutions incorporate design, planning, market potential and feasibility, and development strategies. The submission to the competition will be presentation drawings, tables, schedules, and text.

Student teams are invited to be formed at all European universities (including Turkey and Russia). Teams must consist of five members, with each student responsible for a “function” from the following disciplines: architect, landscape architect, urban planner or geographer, and financial expert. The team can determine which functions are assigned; however, at least one team member must serve as the financial expert and must be enrolled in a business or real estate degree program.

ENYA Competitions

ENYA Committee of the AIA NY Chapter has organized an international ideas competition to design a community support center in the South Street Seaport Area of downtown Manhattan.

The competition is open to all design students and young professionals, including, but not limited to, architects, artists, engineers, landscape architects, urban designers and planners who have completed their education at the undergraduate or graduate level within the past 10 years of the competition announcement (September 15, 2007). The participants may be licensed individuals within their respective professions.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: DECEMBER 16, 2007

January 18, 2008 - Submission deadline. Submittals must be postmarked by 5:00p.m. EST. Hand deliveries must be received at the Center for Architecture by 5:00p.m. EST.

January 25, 2008 – All mailed entries must be received by this date.
