AIA Design Competition

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) challenges architects and students to propose a unique dwelling that combines integrity and inspiration in its House for an Ecologist design competition. The program is a live/work dwelling for an ecologist in residence at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service on the grounds of the National Conservation Training Center, Shepherdstown, W.Va. Entrants may use the AIA Committee on the Environment’s Top Ten measures for sustainable design as a loose guideline.
A minimum of two and maximum of four winners will receive $1,000 each and expenses to attend The Architecture of Sustainability Conference May 4-7
in Shepherdstown.

Participants must register by March 1; entries are due at AIA headquarters March 31. For more information, e-mail Kathleen Lane at cod@aia.org
